With viewer numbers falling, increased competition from Amazon and Netflix, and attitudes to pay-tv changing worldwide, Sky Sports this week announced they will have themed offerings focused on specific sports such as football, rather than the old Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 model. Crucially, this will reduce the cost for subscribers who only want access to certain sports.

We ask Jonathan Liew what the ramifications are for Sky, for fans/subscribers, and for the non football world (your rugbys, your tennis’, your golfs, your crickets). Will this actually work? Is it a backward step for Sky? And should rugby league players be worried about their next pay cheque?

Our soul brother Brian “US Murph” Murphy has been watching the Ball family’s latest media outing, this time on WWE’s Monday Night Raw – its classy stuff. We also explore the wonderful world of Euro floppers in the NBA.

Plus there’s dad strength, Hakeem the dream, The Nigerian Nightmare, Murph’s four albums, Eoin comes clean on his dying love for professional wrestling and we talk about bloody foreigners.
