The injury that ended Paul O’Connell’s rugby career, ripping your hamstring off the bone, has signalled the end for a lot of sportspeople. When Cork footballer Brian Hurley suffered that same injury in June 2016, he feared the worst.

When he did the same injury again in his first game back in March 2017, he had every right to give up. Instead, with messages of support from Seamus Coleman along the way, he picked himself up and made it back in time to score the last point of Cork’s win over Tipperary last Saturday, and he joins us on the show today for a brilliant chat about going through the mill, becoming a better person, and being thankful for what you’ve got.

We go deep on just what happened between Tony Ward and Ollie Campbell (for the second day in a row), Mo Salah’s breakfast of sin, and we react in real time as Zinedine Zidane decides he no longer wants to babysit the bag of snakes that is the Real Madrid dressing room.
