This might just be the greatest honour ever bestowed on Second Captains. In October of 2014, Kenyan athlete Eliud Too won the 2014 Dublin City Marathon. The next day, he came into studio to talk to us about what this victory meant for him, in a financial as well as in a sporting sense. We were astounded by just how much the prize money was set to change his life.

It was one of our favourite ever interviews, and he got in touch last week to show us just how far his winnings have gone in helping him and his family. And he introduces us to the newest additions to his farm – two cows, one called Ciaran Murphy, and the other called Ken Early. And yes, McDevitt is raging.

And here’s the interview! Don’t forget to join The Second Captains World Service now for access to all our shows.

Here’s Eliud with Eoin and his coach Neil Fleming.
