When Ireland’s number 1 badminton player Nhat Nguyen walked out for the opening ceremony at the Tokyo Olympics, the person who drew the most inspiration from him was his big sister Thammy, who decided there and then to revive her own Olympic weight-lifting dream which had been on the back-burner for years, as she dedicated her early 20s to running a number of businesses and starting a family.

Earlier this month, she won bronze at the European Championships to bring her one step closer to that Olympic dream. Thammy and Nhat join us in studio today to discuss their early years having moved to Ireland from Vietnam, their connection as siblings, the clean and jerk, and life on the road.

Plus there’s Pep’s nerves ahead of the Arsenal game tonight (aka the PL Super Bowl), Murph’s brotherly love and this week’s Pedant’s Corner which comes straight outta Clifden.
