Manchester United football club had a chance to go fifth in the Premier League table last night, for the fifth game in their last six, and they once again failed to reach the promised land. Their 4-4 draw with Bournemouth last night could only take them to sixth, but the joy they spread along the way? Priceless.

The mighty US Murph is back with us, and Brian has plenty to say about young Charlie Smyth, the Irish kicking sensation, and the emphatically not-young Philip Rivers, who returned to the NFL as a 44 year old father of 10/grandad, high school football coach, exactly 1800 days after his last game in the league.
