Pocket-rocket presenter, Li’l Eoin McDevitt has one thing on his mind – the little men making a big splash in the NBA.

5 foot 9 inch Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics is tearing it up in the playoffs at the moment, and US Murph tells us about the rich lineage of under-sized talents in the land of the giants. Brian also tells us about the family tragedy currently driving Thomas, and the looming inevitability of another Warriors-Cavaliers showdown in the NBA finals.

Maria Sharapova is back competing, but some in the tennis world are not overly pleased to see her back. Last night, she met her loudest critic Eugenie Bouchard (who maintains Sharapova should be banned for life) on the court, and Bouchard won a 3-hour, 3-set grueller – a match which ended with the coldest of hand-shakes between the two.

Thejournal.ie’s Sinead O’Carroll joins us in studio to talk about whether it’s as black and white as Bouchard seems to see it, and whether Sharapova is being used by some in tennis to indicate the robust state of their drug-testing, which is woefully underfunded.

Plus there’s the art of love-bombing, super-rich football agents, and Tiny Archibald.
