Good weather, great teams and lots of subplots – its a brilliant weekend of rugby ahead. Leinster face the Scarlets on Saturday, and Munster travel to Bordeaux to play Racing the following day, with the nagging suspicion that both Irish teams have wonderful opportunities to make the final. We contemplate that dream/nightmare scenario with Shane Horgan and Gerry Thornley.

There’s lots to discuss including miracle injury comebacks, Leinster’s selection dilemma, Scarlets’ impregnable bubble of belief, sunshine rugby, who to back in a tight game, French fitness, and why “2018 Conor Murray” is a man who has forgotten how to lose.

We also discuss Ulster optics, the Cliffs of Insanity, the Second Captains kibosh we put on Shohei Ohtani, Murph relays a tale involving Trevor Brennan and brick walls, and we’re scarleh for Ken’s new favourite rugby team.
