It’s the second edition of I’ll Tell You Who Wrote It, where we get a friend of the show to review a classic sports book, and invite our listeners to read it along with us.

Book number 2 is Open by Andre Agassi, reviewed for us by former sprint legend, cook-book bestseller and unofficial Mayor of Cork, Derval O’Rourke, who was kind enough to host us in her office in Cork…. while 39 weeks pregnant.

Derval starts off by telling us she thinks most sports autobiographies are awful, but how much she loves Agassi’s book. She also talks to us about how the book influenced her during her own career, hating your sport, career transformations, the heart of the American dream, if bad parents create greats sports people, and when despising your opponent can be a help.

And she shares our nostalgia for the good ol’ days of Michael Chang, Jeff Tarango, Kafelnikov, Grosjean and Wayne Ferreira.
