We’re really excited about today’s show as we get to welcome a genuinely legendary name in women’s football to the latest episode of ‘The Game That Changed My Life’.

It’s fair to say that our guest Carli Lloyd has a pretty sizeable selection of games to choose from, having so far won almost 300 caps for the United States, as well as having two World Cup winners medals and two Olympic golds in her back pocket.

It may well be the 2015 World Cup final that Carli opts for though, given that, you know, she scored a hat trick within fifteen minutes. The two-time World Player of the Year describes how she looks back at herself as a young player and sees someone without the character needed at elite level, how she almost turned her back on the game, and how she changed the course of her career.

We also discuss last Friday’s ruling in the US WNT’s pay discrimination lawsuit against US Soccer with Carli, and the possibility she could finish out her career as a kicker in the NFL.

Plus a scumbag is left livid by Eoin’s lack of dedication when it comes to reviewing The Room, and there’s another classic World Cup match re-watch on the horizon.
