It’s a roller coaster of a show today as Richard Keys gives Clive Tyldesley some perspective on life, Man City take on the world and rugby gets some bad news from the money men.

We got a great reaction to our Jack tribute show yesterday. A lot of people got emotional, as did we, but the show also gave rise to a plethora of emails and tweets on what Jack was referring to when he said “it’s full of pruuuuhteenn”.

Earlier this week, the IRFU and the Irish players finally came to an agreement over wage cuts: Irish players earning more than €25,000 euros per year agreed to a 10% salary reduction for the second half of 2020 as well as a further 10% deferral of their wages until 2021 due to the economic impact of coronavirus.

But the longer term impact of Covid-19 on a sport that relies heavily on ticket sales and income made from the international game is going to be huge. Throw in the news today that CVC have halved their offer to the 6 Nations and its all looking a bit bleak. Shane Horgan joins us today.
