European Championships don’t come around all that often, and we had to wait a hell of a long time for this set, but they’re finally here. After a pandemic, a postponement, and messing around with venues, Euro 2020 kicks off this evening with Italy v Turkey and Eoin has a good feeling about the overlooked Italians going all the way.

Elsewhere this weekend, the National League Division 1 semi-finals take place between Dublin and Donegal, and Kerry and Tyrone. What may NOT take place though, is a league final.

We’re joined by former Dublin legend Paul Flynn and Oisin McConville to talk about the bizarre format, a league campaign that feels almost like an extension of the championship, and Jim McGuinness’ characterisation of the Dubs as the most defensive team in the sport.

Plus there’s Italian pageantry, Welsh pride and the tiniest bit of Irish nostalgia.
