Not everyone was so sure about the new Champions Cup last 16 two-leg format but at least from the perspective of the provinces, it’s teed up a really exciting trio of games this weekend.

We chat to former Munster hooker Duncan Casey and Shane Horgan about the blistering pace of Bob Baloucoune, Mack Hansen’s smack talk almost paying off and whether Connacht and Ulster can pull off what just last week would have been seen as pretty big upsets.

We also chat about Graham Rowntree taking up the role of Munster head coach next year, the difficulty of trying to pitch a new vision to the province while still working under Johann van Graan and what would represent progress in terms of a new gameplan for the province.

Plus Stuart Hogg flips Murph the bird, Nick Faldo misses the Masters memo, and we look ahead to Ireland’s World Cup Qualifier with Sweden this evening.
