There was supposed to be one blow-out, and one thriller in the All-Ireland hurling semi-finals last week, and that’s how it panned out – just in the wrong games. Jamie Wall and Patrick Donnellan, still the last Clare man to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup, tell us just how good Limerick and Kilkenny had to be to qualify for this year’s All-Ireland final.

And they try and fight the inevitable feeling that, much like Real Madrid and the Champions League, Kilkenny are going to win the All-Ireland title because that’s just what they do.
