Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United dragged their season back from the brink with a rousing 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

 

The coach dropped Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire and was rewarded with a hard-running display from a younger, more energetic United side.

 

But if United were bursting with energy – what has happened to Liverpool? Where is their old intensity gone, and can this group of players get it back without reinforcements?
