Seven-Time champion Ronnie O’Sullivan will take on Pang Junxu in the first round of the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield tomorrow. But while the Rocket goes for unparalleled glory on the table, off it he has been engaged in some verbal sparring with the game’s governing body. As always, Ronnie is compelling.

 

Earlier this year Snooker was plunged into its biggest corruption crisis when an investigation was opened into 10 players who were suspended on suspicion of a range of activities including fixing matches, approaching players to manipulate matches and betting on matches.

 

To fill us in on this and all things Ronnie, on the eve of the World Championship, we spoke to Press Association correspondent, Mark Staniforth.
