It’s always a good day on the pod when we get to talk about the Law of Jante and today, thanks to the post-match quotes of irate Norway winger Caroline Graham Hansen, it didn’t even have to be crowbarred in.

The Norwegians made up for the lack of incident in their 0-0 draw with Switzerland with some of the best off-field drama of the World Cup so far. Star forward Ada Hegerberg mysteriously left the pitch seconds before kick-off having participated in the warm-ups and anthems, and Barcelona winger Graham Hansen reacted explosively to being dropped by coach Hege Riise. Time to inspect the damage.

Then we’re joined by Karen Duggan and Joe Callaghan to look ahead to Ireland v Canada tomorrow. What do they expect from Ireland tomorrow? Why do we need to go a goal down before we start to have a go? And should we fear the Canadians, who won the 2021 Olympics in spite of a national football association compared by Joe to ‘mid-to-late Delaney-era FAI’?
