Our guest today is Christopher Miller, the Financial Times correspondent in Ukraine, who joins us to talk about his new book, The War Came To Us: Life and Death in Ukraine.

Chris, who moved to Ukraine from Portland in 2010, has been an eye-witness to many episodes of the terrible history that has unfolded there since the Maidan uprising of 2013-14.

We talk about the nature of the Maidan, Chris’s experiences as a war correspondent in the Donbas in 2014, and the current feeling in Ukraine as the war grinds on.

Before we welcome Chris, we also discuss the new crisis in Israel and Palestine.
