Johnny Doyle won a Leinster senior championship with Kildare in 2000. He won a county senior title with Allenwood in 2004… but since then, little to show for a career of relentless excellence and extraordinary duration.

That was until last Sunday when he was man of the match, at midfield, at 45 years old, as Allenwood won the Kildare Intermediate final – he spoke to us live from the Monday Club yesterday afternoon.

 

We also discuss the Hojlund striking dynasty, Gary O’Neil’s victory lap, and the latest depressing GAA incident involving referees and supporters.
