Luis Diaz, having only been reunited this week with his recently kidnapped father, playing for Colombia against Brazil in a World Cup qualifier – scored the equaliser in the 75th minute. Not five minutes later he followed with a winner, which sent himself, the commentators, the fans and his father in the stands into a state of absolute hysteria.

Meanwhile, Ken is in Amsterdam for what’s poised to be a much less dramatic game tomorrow night between the Republic of Ireland and The Netherlands. But who knows? Could Steo’s likely last competitive game as Bossman end with fireworks?

Plus there’s Southgate’s pearl-clutching, Snoop Dogg’s smoke break and Francis Murphy’s guide to the sporting weekend.
