When the venues for Euro 2028 were announced, across the 4 countries of the UK, and Ireland – there were two big surprises. Croke Park was off the list, and the as-yet-unbuilt Casement Park in Belfast was very much on the list.

But as protests grow in Northern Irish football at the idea of the home of the GAA in Ulster being redeveloped for the Euros, the prospect of there being no games at all played in Belfast is now being entertained. Mark Langhammer is Vice-Chair of Crusaders FC, in Belfast, and he joins us on the show today to tell us why he’s in favour of the Casement Park Euro 2028 proposal.
