Yesterday afternoon Dublin erupted into violence, first of all with the horrific stabbings of several school children and their minder on Parnell Square.

The violence of that attack would later be manipulated by Far-Right elements to instigate riots that then unleashed further violence on the city, its workers, Gardai, emergency services workers, and communities.

Today we reflect on what went on and try to figure out how we got here.

We also speak to the42’s Gavan Casey about tomorrow’s Katie Taylor fight. Gavan was also in Dublin last night and talks to us about what he witnessed. We also discuss the role played by Conor McGregor in whipping up further hatred – McGregor’s alcohol brand being one of the title sponsors of this fight.
