It’s a cliché to say that hurlers are always going to be good at golf – there’s quite a difference between swinging a hurley with 6 Kilkenny lads hanging off you, and teeing it up on the first in the captain’s prize.  Joe Canning is however one example of a hurler who has got some serious golf game, so he was a natural choice to review “A Good Walk Spoiled”, by John Feinstein.

We talk to Joe about how pervasive money was on the PGA Tour, even in the 1990s, Greg Norman trying to set up a breakaway tour 30 years ago, LIV reality, dealing with pressure… and, in a tangent for the ages, which county team he’d have transferred to if he’d been given the choice.

Plus there’s Murph’s snow globe, swing feedback and the forgotten grinders.
