After 14 straight defeats Warren Gatland’s second spell as Wales coach today ended “by mutual agreement” and Cardiff’s Matt Sherratt will take over for their game against Ireland in 12 days time. We chat to Chris Jones of the BBC about whether this is a shock or not, Gatland’s recent record with Wales, his legacy and who his long term replacement will be.

Donald Trump is the first sitting US President to attend a Super Bowl, and he received a warm welcome in New Orleans this weekend. Among many other executive orders, he recently ordered the cancellation of programs that encourage diversity, equity and inclusion. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the NFL’s diversity policies are not in conflict with the Trump administration’s efforts to end the federal government’s DEI programs. With so much uncertainty about how America will look in the future we discuss the NFL bending the knee, the Steelers’ visit to Croker and the FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA in 2026.
