It’s Open Championship week, and for the second time in 6 years, it’s back in Ireland, at Royal Portrush in Antrim. And the story revolves around two golfers – Shane Lowry, who won here in 2019, and the local boy done good, Rory McIlroy.

Gavin Cooney of the42.ie is on the Antrim coast already, and talks to us about both men, their contrasting experience last time out in Portrush, and whether the theory that “the pressure is off Rory now after the Masters” will be comprehensively blown out of the water this coming Sunday.

There’s also an Irishman leading the Tour de France!  Ben Healy stormed to victory yesterday, seizing the yellow jersey, and Cillian Kelly of the “Did Not Finish” podcast, and TNT stats guru, is with us today as well.  And that’s all before Ken lauds Graeme Obree’s bike made of washing machine parts.
