Leeds were the beneficiaries of a disputed penalty decision against Everton last night, which once again shows up the deficiencies of Premier League officiating. But is there a way of humanising the process?

Ken has read some heart-breaking testimony from the VAR headquarters at Stockley Park, and he brings that to us today. Distressing as it may be to hear, it is vivid, essential listening.

And we talk to US Murph about Niall Sheils Donegan, Lawrence’s young lad, who won over a nation with a series of thrilling match-play victories at the US Amateur Championship, played just half an hour from his home in Mill Valley. The boy fell short at the semi-finals, but might just have taught a small town how to love again.
