The Isak derby was everything neutrals and Liverpool fans hoped and dreamed for, as 16 year old Rio Ngumoha scored a dramatic winner in the 100th minute. We discuss the Gordon tackle, Newcastle’s comeback and of course the spectre of Isak.

Decisions around two of the most high-profile, high-pressure jobs in Irish sport were made in the last couple of days. Jack O’Connor will remain as Kerry manager, Pat Ryan has stepped down as Cork’s hurling coach. When they said ‘winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing’, they really weren’t kidding. Michael Foley of the Sunday Times, a Corkman living in Kerry, gives us the benefit of his insight.
