Episode 3353: Champions League Madness In Turin, Madrid Penalty, Getting Gurbanov’d, World Athletics Championships
Last night the strains of Zadok the Priest once again rattled around the Old Continent as the Champions League Group Stages got up and running.

Ken takes a look at the Pick and Mix make up of the Marseille side while Gurban Gurbanov further staked his claim (or was it Eoin’s?) to one day reign supreme over Irish football, as Trent’s hopes to pick up a ballon d’or took a knock, as he took a knock AND is Jose set for a Benfica re-run?

We chat to Cathal Dennehy in Tokyo about a world champs without Rhasidat but with plenty of drama particularly in the men’s 1500m, the women’s 400m, which is owned by the incredible Sydney McLaughlin Levrone, and we look ahead to Ireland’s main medal hope, Kate O’Connor, who starts competing in the Heptathlon on Friday. We also discuss Sonia O’Sullivan’s controversial Irish Times article about Rhasidat pulling out of the worlds.
