Irish players getting to the NFL is a legitimately huge achievement. But what about a guy who hasn’t just made it to the NFL, but has played three straight seasons for the most storied franchise in football, and finished this season as possibly the best punter in the league.

Shamefully overlooked for this season’s first-team All-Pro selection, Daniel Whelan of the Green Bay Packers had the longest average yards per punt in the league this year, and he joins us in studio today to discuss his journey from Greystones United to the NFL.

 

The Champions League returns tonight, with Benfica against Real Madrid – and is the return of Jose to the hot seat at Madrid also a possibility?

We also discuss the racist abuse Yamal receives in Spanish football, ask Ciaran “the boot” Murphy” how far he can kick a Gaelic football and we salute a former guest on the show, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, who died today aged 84.
