We are now two days away from the start-line, and Ken Early has arrived on the continent of North America. The arrival on those shores of other participants in the World Cup has been rather more fraught – we talk to our man in the Americas about visa woes, refs being told to stay home, and sniffer dogs at training camps.

We also catch up with Joe Callaghan in Toronto to get the low-down on Canada. The English Premier League seemed to hold their coach Jesse Marsch’s Americanness against him while he was there – is his US passport a hindrance in Canada too?

Plus there’s Euro bangers, Kansas haters and a sweet steak stopover.
