Episode 3574: California Dreamin’, Poch Stomp, Oh Canada, Burnt Out Stars, CIA v Gordon Banks, Czech Interlopers, Montezuma’s Revenge
After Mexico’s emotion on Thursday night, we’ve seen the other two hosts in action over the last 12 hours, and all 3 remain unbeaten. Canada laboured to a point against Bosnia, and the United States roared into action with a thumping 4-1 win over Paraguay.

We jag back and forth through space and time to talk to Ken about the Canadians, before giving him the evening/morning off so we can talk to Rory Smith of the Observer in LA, where after seeing the host nation’s first win, he’ll watch Iran make their bow in a country they’re currently at war with on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

The reason for Ken’s absence becomes clear as the show progresses, as does the difficulty we all appear to be having juggling multiple time-zones. What’s important to remember is that the World Cup is now very much on, so remain vigilant.

Ken was there to see and hear and feel it all, and joins us from the stadium.
