Episode 3642: The Biggest Fastest Sports Franchise Sale In History, Cork’s Codebreaker, Baldwin Barlow Beef
Today we talk about the LA Lakers who earlier this month were the subject of the biggest sports franchise sale in history (12.5 bn US dollars); it was also the quickest ever flip of a major sports franchise (14 months from purchase to sale), in a deal that came together in just 72 hours, and it was all driven by a man currently under investigation by the Feds.

We talk to Defector’s Patrick Redford about the huge sums of money involved, why and how this deal went through so quickly and the subject of the investigation, Mark Walter, who has a lot of fingers in a lot of pies, including The LA Dodgers and Chelsea FC.

We don’t have the Mayo footballers to kick around anymore but we do have the Cork hurlers – no All-Ireland in more than twenty years and two spectacular Croke Park collapses in the last two years. BUT…. they may have found the secret success sauce.

Plus there’s Baldwin Barlow beef, the Kushner clan and El Sireno.
