Newcastle United are back in the Premier League, so it’s quite fitting that today we welcomed into studio a man who represented the club on two separate occasions, and served as assistant manager to his old pal Kevin Keegan during one of the most dramatic periods in the club’s history – Terry McDermott.

As a player of course he is best-remembered for his time at Liverpool where he scored in a European Cup final, won PFA and Football Writers Player of the Year, and ended up with 4 league titles, and 3 European Cups.

He tells us about how he became one of the great goalscoring midfielders… and how after his career finished he worked wonders with Keegan at Newcastle, and how he tried to sign Roberto Baggio.

Plus we discuss the role of the commentator, Ken falls down a Lee Bowyer black hole, and T Rex gets some heavy Second Captains airplay.
