It’s a gigantic weekend of GAA action, and in advance of their QF clash with Galway, Kerry fans are demanding the head of salt of the earth true blue Dub, Ken Early.

Does he regret what he said about Gooch Cooper? Is he a lone voice? And is he accurate when comparing Dublin GAA to Maoist China?

We have a blockbuster panel of Karol Mannion, Mike Quirke and Malachy Clerkin for our build up to the weekend. Karol describes the unique rawness of Connacht football fans, and Malachy explains why the 2017 Mayo journey shows us the lovefest is as much about this resilient group of players as it is about the county itself.

 

Mike Quirke is excited about the current Kerry set up, doesn’t see Galway troubling them, and we argue the point that they may be in fact be in better shape without Gooch there this year.

We also analyse loveable Kieran McGeeney, we compare Wexford hurling fans and Roscommon football fans, and look at Mayo’s extra time majesty. Plus there’s Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady, the gym rats of Ireland, the day Ken’s soul died and we finally address the butter issue no one wanted addressed.
