Chris Froome’s career appears to be in tatters after returning a failed drugs test during his victory in the Vuelta in September, a joint investigation by the Guardian and Le Monde revealed this morning.

Author and journalist Jeremy Whittle joins us to talk about the extent to which Team Sky should still be given the benefit of the doubt (not much, as it turns out), and we discuss just how it is that having debilitating illnesses appears to be no impediment to Sky riders winning important cycling races.

We also talk to Leinster and Ireland’s Adam Byrne about making his debut at 18 under Joe Schmidt, coming back from three leg breaks, playing for Ireland, and what its like being one half of the fabulous Byrne boys.

Plus there’s Ken’s double-dose of insulin, the Champions Cup second leg flip-o-meter, some dubious medical advice, and Katie Taylor’s headline fight on Sky tonight.
