So we’re a day away from the start of the World Cup 2018 in Russia, and already it’s a barn-burner.

Spain have pressed the self-destruct button, by sacking their manager Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the tournament. It’s elephantine Spanish FA egos, it’s sneaky Real Madrid, it’s the Spanish Saipan… and it’s a hilariously good story.

Dermot Corrigan joins us, along with Ken of course, to pick it apart.

The Mexico/Canada/USA bid have successfully won the right to host the World Cup in 2026, ahead of Morocco, and Ken gives us his thoughts.

Plus there’s twirling batons, our man in Moscow gets locked into a toilet, we reveal the Hamilton Academical link to the biggest international football story in years, and of course, we realise that when it comes to batshit crazy storylines, nothing beats the World Cup.
