It’s a pretty tantalising prospect – a Leinster/Munster European Champions Cup final. But they both have steep hills to climb to get there. Leinster have to put recent indifferent form behind them if they want to beat Top 14 high-fliers and competition aristocrats Toulouse in Dublin on Sunday, while Munster play the form team in the competition in Saracens the day before.

Shane Horgan and Gerry Thornley preview the game, and we also hail Shane’s Hercule Poirot impersonation at Harlequins 10 years ago this month, when he smelled a rat and the Bloodgate controversy nearly took down an entire club.

There’s also Man United’s tame exit from the Champions League in Barcelona last night, and how 2 years on from dominating Ajax in the Europa League final, the clubs have progressed in totally different ways.

Plus there’s Phil Jones, Second Captains wrap parties, and 3-fingered salutes.
