The Super 8s are getting the sort of finale that the whole thing was set up for this weekend – at least in one venue – as Mayo and Donegal face off in Castlebar. Donegal only need a draw, Mayo need to win, and despite their wildly divergent form lines this year, Oisin McConville and Mike Quirke aren’t quite sure what to believe.

We talk about whether Andy Moran and Darren Coen can play together, Mayo’s mental fortitude, Donegal’s injury list… and we discover just how much Oisin respects Murph’s opinion.

Kerry just need to be professional, Oisin still finds time to stick the boot into Cork, and we wonder aloud if Diarmo will make his first appearance in two summers for Dublin in Omagh.

Plus there’s Frances Murphy’s TV guide a couple of days earlier than usual, Stephen A Smith and Eoin T McDevitt, and a feile-style festival of football idea that could revolutionise the Super 8s.
