Episode 1655: Episode 5 Of The I’ll Tell You Who Wrote It Liberty Hall Special! With Anthony Daly And Richie Sadlier
Happy Christmas Eve, and do we ever have a festive treat for you. We go live from the Second Captains log cabin, back in time to our wonderful Liberty Hall shows at the start of the month, to bring you Episode 5 of the “I’ll Tell You Who Wrote It” Second Captains book club.
The book in question was “Provided You Don’t Kiss Me” by Duncan Hamilton, an absolutely riveting account of the author’s time covering Brian Clough for a local Nottingham newspaper.
To review it, we had Anthony Daly, former Clare hurler and manager, and our very own Richie Sadlier. All of our Liberty Hall live shows come with thanks to the brilliant folk O’Hara’s Brewery in Carlow, and we cover Ger Loughnane comparisons, the sad end, and the dizzying highs of Clough’s Nottingham Forest team.
Click the image at the top of the page to play the show. Monday’s shows are free to all – to listen to our programming throughout the rest of the week, join the Second Captains World Service. It’s independent, commercial-free and member-led with feature interviews, breaking news, Richie Sadlier’s Player’s Chair, The Politics Podcast, and lots of added extras.
