It’s been a while since we’ve had a good ol’-fashioned GAA strike, isn’t it? But there’s one looming, and it’s a big one – as 84% of the country’s camogie players have told the GPA that they have no intention of playing in this year’s league, which is due to start on Sunday week.

The strike revolves around fixtures, but as ever with female sport in the GAA it’s about a bit more, including mistreatment of dual players, a lack of co-ordination between organisations, and the looming power of the GPA, who have only recently begun representing female GAA athletes… so we have plenty to get stuck into with Dublin coach and All-Ireland winner Sarah O’Donovan, and Jamie Wall.

Ken looks ahead to the second Champions league semi-final tonight between Chelsea and Real Madrid, Man City are in the final already after their win last night, and we remember Alan McLoughlin, the hero of Windsor Park, who died yesterday aged just 54.
