Away From Home is a new 6-part podcast series by The Athletic that tells the story of Shakhtar Donetsk’s attempts to compete in this season’s Champions League group stage despite all the obstacles, dangers and trauma thrown up by the war in Ukraine.

We talk to Adam Crafton about the making of the series, the access he got and the level of anger in Ukraine with FIFA that first started when the World Cup was held in Russia four years after the annexation of Crimea.

Plus there’s Pep on Liverpool’s ownership issues, Putin’s pal Gianni Infantino and Murph exclusively reveals that cricket is big in India and Pakistan.
