Episode 2756: Ireland v Scotland; The Permutations Game, VAR-Gate Circles Within Circles, Cosy Football Nostalgia
So many permutations, so many horrendous Irish performances in world cups past, but a loss by 8 points or more to Scotland would be perhaps the biggest kick in the teeth we’ve ever had. They couldn’t, could they?
We chat to Shane Horgan, veteran of two world cups, and Tom English, chief sports writer and broadcaster with BBC Scotland, about Scotland’s mental challenge this weekend against a team that’s beaten them 8 times in a row, if Scots have a plan besides Finn’s trickery, and how permutations may play into the gameplans.
Meanwhile, back in the world of VAR-casting, as new information comes to light, Ken reviews his performance on yesterdays Second Captains and wonders if he was indeed too gullible. Again… back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left.
