Being an Ireland fan can sometimes feel like being a kite caught in high winds, your emotions dragged mercilessly in one direction and then suddenly in another; despair a few days ago, satisfaction today.

To help us parse these emotions, we chat to the athair báiste of Irish football, Richie Sadlier, about the many elements that made that Nathan Collins goal so great, the mood music around Stephen Kenny, the age profile of the team, the liberal approach to reffing games these days and why Josh Cullen is now part of the establishment.

Plus there’s goodbye to fair ?ód?, living with pigs and, of course, Killian Kelleher.
